How do scholarships and financial aid work?
The four main types of financial assistance are scholarships, grants, loans and work-study (on-campus employment). The financial aid office determines eligibility for financial aid after an applicant has been accepted for admission to the university and all information required for consideration has been received. Financial aid professionals also offer counseling about student expenses, financial aid opportunities and money management. Call the financial aid office at (859) 233-8239 for more information.
What are the payment options and deadlines?
Transylvania University offers two payment options: a pay-in-full plan and a 12-month plan. Students must select their payment plan by March 15 by logging into Self-Service and clicking Payment Options Form.
Where may I learn more about Self-Service, deposits and online payment?

What is the timing for billing and financial aid?
The student accounting office establishes billing once a student has registered for classes. Financial aid will be credited to a full-time student’s account after the student signs and returns the financial aid award letter to the financial aid office. If you have questions, please contact the student accounting office at billing@transy.edu or 859-233-8150.
