Joined by Board of Trustees chair Norwood “Buddy” Cowgill ’65, Brien Lewis was installed as the university’s 28th president on July 6.
Brien Lewis takes the helm as Transylvania University’s 28th president today, at a time when the 240-year-old institution is faced with both unprecedented challenges and seemingly boundless opportunities.
Thanks to all the people at Transylvania University who are so dedicated to our institution and its mission.
It may well only be in hindsight that we will all truly appreciate what John Williams and Michael Cairo did for Transylvania University over the past year.
Transylvania University has named Johnnie Johnson as its vice president for admissions effective immediately. Johnson has served as the interim vice president for enrollment since July 2019.
