For when international travel is safe again, the Office of Global and Intercultural Engagement is hosting a Virtual Study Abroad Fair from Sept. 8-17.
Meet Transylvania’s study abroad peer ambassadors, who play a vital role in the success of the Office of Global and Intercultural Engagement.
As a German studies and international affairs double major and French minor at Transy, senior Savannah Lambert has developed impressive language skills and a deep knowledge of the world. But there’s no substitute for experience, which is how she found herself in Regensburg, Germany, studying through the Kentucky Institute for International Studies Germany Spring Semester program.
While the pandemic has pretty much ground any globetrotting to a halt, three Transylvania students look forward to taking advantage of a prestigious scholarship that will financially support their studying abroad — once it’s safe.
During the first year of Transylvania’s Study Abroad Peer Ambassador program, students have acted as peer advisers, assisted with planning events, redesigned the school’s study abroad social media platforms, and launched a page on the 1780 blog called To Broadway and Beyond.
