Graduating seniors can benefit from the illumination of professors and alumni who have been there before—and are more than happy to pass on the light.
Maury Sparrow, a 1987 Transylvania University graduate and LexArts communications director, is hosting an après-theater cocktail party on Saturday, May 18, to raise money for the university’s John Fryer Fund for Diversity and Inclusion.
During her time at Transylvania, poet Tiara Brown ’16 received both the Delcamp and the Judy Gaines Young student writing awards and gained the confidence she needed to pursue the “writing life.”
“We think that because Transy is small, it’s hard to find alumni in a place like Los Angeles. But we’re everywhere—all over the world. It’s kind of nice to see that.”
