The Transylvania Fund supports scholarships for outstanding students and provides for the greatest needs of Pioneers, all while bolstering Transy’s national reputation.
Anna Tussey ’13 is a language teacher at Louisville’s John F. Kennedy Montessori Elementary School, a researcher who has worked with Guatemalan-Maya students, the children of indigenous immigrants, and the new board chair of a nonprofit called the Guatemalan Educational Outreach.
Alums Allison Conder ’14 and Nzinga Donovan ’13 founded the nonprofit Kairos International to invest in the soul, mind and skills of young adults in developing nations.
The last weekend in October will be a busy one on campus at Lexington’s Transylvania University as the school hosts Family Weekend, the Alumni Fall Festival and kicks off PumpkinMania.
Albert “Al” Prewitt ’57, a top athlete during his Transylvania career, passed away Oct. 8 at age 86.
