Transylvania professor Chris Begley’s book “The Next Apocalypse: The Art and Science of Survival” was released earlier this week to positive reviews by national publications including Kirkus, Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and Booklist.
Transylvania students recently got hands-on experience in creating zines — short for “magazines” that are typically self published. The workshop and performance event in the basement of Mitchel Fine Arts was part of the current Morlan Gallery exhibition “Reflection Refraction Reaction.”
Acclaimed musician Rhiannon Giddens visited Transylvania on Thursday for a performance and conversations with students and others.
