Transylvania’s Morlan Gallery launches the 2021-22 season tomorrow with an in-person, public exhibition of works by professional artists — its first since early 2020.
The Transylvania Morlan Gallery’s senior art exhibit “Augmented Circumstance” opens today, highlighting how students have faced changes in their education, creative practices and daily lives during the pandemic.
Transylvania will host a free, online artists’ talk Sunday on the power of spirituals as part of the school’s Smith Concert Series, which this year features a concert by the renowned American Spiritual Ensemble.
Transylvania students Tammy Ray ’23 and Ben Sexton ’22 collaborated to create original music for the radio play “Carmilla” — from creepy atmospheric pieces to a waltz.
The current production Transylvania Theater production, “Carmilla: A Vampiress Radio Play,” has allowed cast and crew to stretch new muscles and learn how to provide a theater experience with just sound.
