Transylvania takes top honors in Collegiate Advertising Awards for blog, student recruitment
Transylvania University’s marketing and communications office earned top distinctions in the recent Collegiate Advertising Awards for its blog and student recruitment efforts. Competing among schools with 1,001-2,000 students, Transylvania received a gold award each for the 1780 blog in the Blogs category and for My Transylvania Experience in Recruitment – Series. Also, a recruitment fair handout shaped like Raf the bat, Transy’s athletics mascot, won a silver in the Recruitment category. The Collegiate Advertising Awards recognize colleges for “excellence in communications, marketing, advertising and promotions of their schools across the nation.” Those receiving the best marks are in the top 16 percent of the country. “Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.” Transylvania has won multiple Collegiate Advertising Awards over the years, including four in 2024. The school also recently won top honors in the Educational Advertising Awards, receiving special praise for its innovative video production. Videos are prominently featured on the My Transylvania Experience webpage, which encourages prospective students to find their path at the university. In these clips, current Pioneers share what’s made their own college experience special.
