Transylvania operating remotely Tuesday because of winter weather

Due to expected winter weather, all Transylvania University classes will be held virtually tomorrow, Feb. 11.

Students are asked to monitor their email for communication from faculty regarding their classes, and employees who can work remotely are asked to do so. Essential personnel should report as scheduled. Additionally, employees should check with their supervisor for any adjustments to their schedule because of weather conditions.

Please exercise caution around campus, as facilities crews will be working diligently to clear parking lots and sidewalks.

The Great Hall will open Tuesday for brunch and dinner (4–6 p.m.), although Gratz Perk and late night dining will be closed for the day.

In-person, on-campus events will be canceled or moved to virtual meetings by the organizers. The 2025 William R. Kenan Jr. Lecture featuring journalist Maria Hinojosa will be rescheduled to a later date.

Any updates to this status will be communicated via campus message, social media, Inside Transy and transy.edu.
