Transylvania University recently partnered with Common App’s direct admissions program to provide qualified students with proactive admissions offers before they apply.
Through the program, those who create a Common App account with enough academic information meeting Transylvania’s admissions requirements will be sent a direct offer of admission. Common App also provides resources and outreach for families and counselors of participating students.
“We are excited for Transylvania University to join our direct admissions program, where even more students will now know that they are worthy and wanted on a college campus,” said Jenny Rickard, Common App’s president and CEO.
Transylvania is one of 116 colleges partnering with Common App for direct admissions.
Common App looks for ways like this to simplify the application process, including helping prospective students apply to multiple schools at once, keep track of deadlines, explore financial aid options and get expert advice.
Its direct admissions program, which targets first-generation and low-to-middle-income students, began earlier this month for the 2024–2025 application season. New this year, participants can keep up with and act on offers directly in their account.
Applications for the school’s fall 2025 term are now open for first-time students.
Potential Pioneers will be exploring campus during Transy Preview Days on Friday, Sept. 13, and Saturday, Oct. 19. They’ll take tours, attend info sessions, enjoy a complimentary lunch and more — depending on how they personalize the day’s agenda.
Transylvania offers a variety of options for visitors to check out the university’s innovative academics, vibrant student life and beautiful campus.
Keep in mind, the first Early Action Deadline for priority admission and scholarship consideration is Oct. 31.
