We know the historic flooding over the past four days has deeply affected so many across Kentucky. Our hearts go out to all members of our community — students, faculty, staff and alumni — and everyone else affected.
To our students: Please know that the Student Life staff is here for you. If you or someone you know has been directly impacted by the floods and needs support — emotional, academic or logistical — do not hesitate to reach out. With final exams beginning next week, we understand that this added stress may be overwhelming. We encourage you to extend grace to yourselves and one another during this difficult time.
To our faculty and staff: If the flooding has affected you or your family, please reach out to your supervisor or Human Resources. We want to support you in any way we can, whether that’s through flexible work arrangements or connecting you with emergency assistance resources.
To our future Pioneers: We are thinking of you, especially those in the most affected areas. We are reaching out to those of you in impacted areas to check in. If you need anything, please let us know. Your counselor and the admissions team are here for you.
We are thinking of all those impacted by the flooding. Take care of yourselves and each other, and please let us know if we can help.
