While 2024 is winding down, the impact of donor generosity continues to shape the lives of Transylvania University students. Consider the story Jayce Browning ’27: Her journey, fueled by the support of Transylvania Fund donors, is a testament to the power of giving. This holiday season, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of countless young people.
Donor support has transformed the life of this junior psychology major from Eastern Kentucky. Coming from one of the nation’s most economically challenged regions, Browning faced significant financial challenges in pursuing higher education. Many of her high school peers couldn’t afford to attend college at all.
“Without the scholarships I have, I probably wouldn’t be able to pay for tuition at Transy,” she said. Thanks to the scholarships she received, Browning is pursuing her dream of studying psychology.
“I’d just say that no matter how much someone donates — whether it’s a lot or a little — it all makes a difference for students.”
Browning plans to attend graduate school in counseling psychology after Transylvania. She hopes to one day give back to the school to help other students like herself.
Your support makes a difference
This is just one example of how donor support is changing the lives of Transylvania students. Each gift to The Transylvania Fund plays a vital role in shaping the future of our students, expanding their access to opportunities and supporting their growth as leaders, thinkers and innovators.
“As you plan your year-end giving, please join us in supporting this next generation of community leaders,” said Kara Little Covert ‘90, vice president for advancement. “Their futures are worth your investment, and we are grateful for your help.”
