Business administration is a popular area of study at Transylvania, with tracks in finance, management, marketing and hospitality and tourism management. Also, being in Lexington offers plenty of internship opportunities, and students can further hone their skills at the Center for Entrepreneurship.
As for the accounting program, Pioneers have been getting practical know-how while serving the local community for more than 40 years through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
“This hands-on experience not only sharpens their technical skills but also gives them valuable real-world experience while they give back to our vibrant city,” said Rebecca Thomas, executive vice president for academic affairs and dean of the university. She noted how the program goes beyond “crunching numbers” and “prepares students for success in their field and in their community.” It also allows graduates to sit for the CPA exam after completing their undergraduate degree.
Transylvania also earned 2024 Research.com honors for having one of the best business degree programs in the South and Kentucky.
In addition to these awards, The Princeton Review recently ranked Transylvania among the country’s “Best 390 Colleges.”
