Transylvania University’s PumpkinMania Festival is made possible this year through the generous support of presenting sponsor UK Federal Credit Union.
Now in its 14th year, PumpkinMania will bring our community together for a variety of fun activities Oct. 25-31, including a jack-o’-lantern carving for the Old Morrison display, a SPOOKTACULAR concert and magic show.
The event has grown into a Lexington Halloween tradition that draws national attention and strengthens Transylvania’s partnerships with local institutions like UKFCU.
“At UK Federal Credit Union, we deeply value the power of community and the importance of giving back,” according to the nonprofit. “By sponsoring events like PumpkinMania, we can connect with our members beyond financial services and actively support the vibrant community we cherish. We are more than just your financial partner; we embody the spirit of ‘people helping people,’ and it’s essential to us that our actions reflect this philosophy.”
UKFCU also supports a variety of other organizations across the region, including Habitat for Humanity, “where UKFCU celebrates their sponsorship and volunteer efforts for Habitat’s 500th home build.” Its partnerships additionally include the Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road, Ronald McDonald House, Step by Step, Lexington Children’s Theatre, Women Leading Kentucky and YMCA of Central Kentucky along with many others.
For this year’s PumpkinMania, you can reserve free tickets to participate in the Oct. 27 community jack-o’-lantern carving beginning Oct. 1. Other festival events will include popular Los Angeles magician Joseph Tran on Oct. 25 and a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween Concert the next afternoon. Get all the details.
The carving event will also feature activity tables and food vendors like Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, Kirk’s Blue Smoke BBQ, Bert’s SpeakCheezy and Beverly Ann’s Cookies & Ice Cream.
Pumpkins and carving supplies will be provided — while tickets aren’t required to enjoy the festival, they’ll ensure you can carve a jack-o’-lantern that will glow each night along with 500 others through Halloween.
So far, this year’s other PumpkinMania sponsors are the Lexington Event Company, Equity Solutions Group, Forcht Bank, Commonwealth Credit Union, K.North and Black Soil.
