In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, make sure to add applying to Transylvania to your to-do list. High school seniors and transfer students who are interested in joining the Class of 2028 should submit their application by Friday — the university’s final early action deadline.
“It is important for any student interested in Transy to submit their application on or before our early action deadline,” stressed Director of Admissions Julie Sams, adding that applying by Friday ensures that prospective students will be considered for all scholarship opportunities — including Premier Scholarships.
Premier Scholarships, which encompass both the Kenan and William T. Young scholarships, are Transylvania’s highest merit awards. Beginning at $32,000 annually, eligibility is determined by reviewing the student’s application, essay, high school transcripts, resume or listing of extracurricular activities, recommendation letters and test scores (if available). The average GPA and ACT score for a student invited to participate in the Premier Scholarship Program is a 4.0 cumulative GPA and a 30 composite ACT score.
While potential students may continue to apply after Friday, the final early action deadline is also the cutoff date for Premier Scholarship consideration. Program- and interest-related scholarships will continue to be available until Feb. 1.
Apply today to be part of the Class of 2028 and to be considered for the Premier Scholarship Program.
