Transylvania University’s PumpkinMania display is basking in the glow of some national media attention this Halloween.
Outlets including the Weather Channel (above) and ABC World News Now are spotlighting the 500+ jack-o’-lanterns carved for the 13th annual festival presented by Buchart+Wachs Orthodontics.

Sunday’s rain showers didn’t dampen the Halloween spirit of those who turned out to create the display. They also enjoyed children’s activities, food trucks, candy and tours of Rafinesque’s tomb.
Now a Lexington Halloween tradition, the jack-o’-lanterns will glow on the steps of historic Old Morrison off Third Street through Thursday.
The university sourced the pumpkins from Black Soil KY and Cleav’s Family Market. On Friday, Slak Market Farm will pick up the shells for livestock feed.
