Pumpkin-carving tickets are now available for Transylvania’s 13th annual PumpkinMania festival presented by Buchart and Wachs Orthodontics. This year’s PumpkinMania will take place on Sunday, Oct. 29, at the university, located in the heart of downtown Lexington.
While all aspects of PumpkinMania are free and open to the public, tickets are needed to reserve a pumpkin and participate in the yearly carving. Register today to reserve up to three pumpkins to carve between 11 a.m.-4 p.m. during the festival.
In addition to pumpkin carving, this fall-favorite event will feature food trucks and family-friendly activity tables.
The jack-o’-lanterns created at PumpkinMania will be displayed and lit on the steps of Old Morrison every night from Oct. 29-Nov. 2. Previous iterations of PumpkinMania have been featured in national outlets, including Good Morning America.
The event’s pumpkins are sourced as a collaboration between Transylvania, Black Soil KY and Cleav’s Family Market. On Nov. 3, Slak Market Farm will pick up the pumpkin shells as a food source for the farm’s animals, completing the event’s cycle of sustainability.
In addition to Buchart and Wachs Orthodontics, this year’s sponsors include Hits 106.3, Hound 96.1, The Scout Guide, BIM Group, Commonwealth Credit Union, Live Green Lexington and RentalOnline.org.
