With an ice storm in the forecast, Transylvania University will operate in remote status Thursday out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the campus community.
Faculty will decide whether to hold class virtually or make up the class time, and students should monitor their email for any communication from faculty regarding the status of classes.
Also, on-campus dining services will still be available Thursday, with service ending at 7 p.m. Brunch and dinner will be available Friday.
Employees who can work remotely are asked to do so, and essential personnel should report as scheduled. Employees should check with their supervisors for any adjustments to their schedules that may be necessary because of weather conditions.
A decision on Friday’s operating status will be communicated tomorrow.
