
Off to a 7-0 start this season, the Transylvania women’s basketball team jumped into the nation’s top 10 in this week’s Women’s Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll.

The Pioneers moved up four spots to No. 8 — and they improved from 18th to 13th in the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll.
Transylvania opened up Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play Dec. 1 with a double-digit win at Franklin and captured a 64-57 victory on Saturday versus Rose-Hulman in Lexington.
The Pioneers have shown offensive efficiency this season, ranking 21st in the country in field goal percentage at 44.5% and 19th in three pointers per game, making 8.7 triples per contest.
Transylvania returns to play Saturday for an HCAC contest at Bluffton University. The conference showdown tips off at 1 p.m.
