Kentucky authors and literary experts joined the Transylvania community for several events this fall highlighting the work of Larkspur Press on its 45th anniversary.
The special collaborative exhibition between Transylvania University’s Morlan Gallery and J. Douglas Gay Jr./Frances Carrick Thomas Library featured an exhibit and event series that explored the significant influence Gray Zeitz’s Larkspur Press has had on printing and literature in Kentucky.
Three renowned Kentucky authors published by Larkspur were featured in the 2019 Delcamp Visiting Writers Series. Wendell Berry, Bobbie Ann Mason and Mary Ann Taylor-Hall gave readings from their works and led a discussion with attendees.
“The Art of Kentucky Literature: 45 Years of Larkspur Press” was part of the university’s New Frontiers series. Information on upcoming events is available here.
