Deepa Dubal has been named Transylvania University’s vice president for information technology.
Dubal joined Transylvania in August 2018 as an associate vice president and was promoted to the president’s cabinet this month. She previously led technology efforts at the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) in Frankfort, where she was chief technology officer. She worked at CPE for 16 years beginning in 2002 as a programmer.
“Deepa’s breadth of technology expertise—which includes application development, student information systems, educational technology and analytics—has made an immediate impact at Transylvania,” President Seamus Carey said.
“Being on the president’s cabinet will allow me to ensure that a technology perspective is applied to institutional goal setting and strategies,” Dubal said. “I strongly believe that together we can make the university more efficient, our data more secure, and enhance how we support our students, staff, faculty and their teaching.”
