This society is the student section of the biggest professional society in the world. It exists to promote student research in the chemical sciences, also to give opportunities and encouragement for outreach to the community, elementary, middle and high schools, science fairs, etc., as well as provide social and career networking opportunities to its members. Members generally tend to work with a Transy faculty member on research projects, which commonly present at American Chemical Society national and regional meetings. The national society partially finances student travel and outreach efforts.
