  • Professor Don Dugi, who received the 2003 Kentucky Professor of the Year Award from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, conducted a three-year program that encouraged the Transylvania community to investigate the concept of race both as an intellectual and pedagogical concern. Professor Dugi also advises students interested in attending law school.

  • Professor Michael Cairo's book, The Gulf: The Bush Presidencies and the Middle East, was published by University Press of Kentucky in November 2012. Transylvania's political science program emphasizes research and the value of pursuing graduate studies in the field.
