Students may choose an applied music major with instrumental, keyboard, vocal, and composition options, a music education major, or a music technology major. The music program at Transylvania provides rigorous training for music majors, gives music minors ample exposure to the discipline, and opens participation in instrumental and/or choral groups to all students. All music majors are positioned in the context of Transylvania's strong liberal arts education.
