Transylvania offers both traditional majors, such as history or mathematics, and interdisciplinary majors, including international affairs and PPE (philosophy, politics, and economics). We also offer interdisciplinary minors in environmental studies, multicultural studies, Latin American and Caribbean studies, and women's studies.

Students also have the option of designing their own interdisciplinary majors. If their interests or ambitions are best nurtured by an interdisciplinary program not among Transylvania's established majors or minors, they can work with an academic advisor and the dean to create a unique program. Recent examples include biopsychology, child development, and cultural, ethnic, and racial studies.
Transylvania University admits students regardless of age, race, color, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, national origin, or any other classification protected by federal or state law or local ordinance.
