The Brown Science Center offers five teaching laboratories and five research laboratories for faculty and students. The lab spaces are used for lectures, small group discussions, and hands-on activities.
An animal care facility provides housing space for rodents. Equipment in the labs includes centrifuges, a cell culture hood and incubator, a PCR machine, a walk-in cold room, spectrophotometers, a dual-view teaching microscope, light and dissecting microscopes, gel boxes, blotting equipment, etc. Thanks to a recent matching grant, one of the labs features a DNA sequencer.
Transylvania University admits students regardless of age, race, color, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, national origin, or any other classification protected by federal or state law or local ordinance.
