Transylvania's accounting program offers both the broad intellectual development of the liberal arts college and professional development for a career in accountancy. Our graduates have excelled in graduate programs as well as professional positions. Our rigorous program qualifies graduates to sit for the CPA exam immediately, whereas graduates of most undergraduate programs must complete a graduate degree in order to satisfy the 150-semester-hour requirement for the exam.
The small size of Transylvania's accounting program and personal nature of our classes result in a close camaraderie and team spirit among students. Professors' close ties to the profession, frequent May term travel courses, and flexibility to offer unique May term courses all enhance the student's experience.
