Is there a medical facility on campus?
A registered nurse is present in Transylvania’s health services office during the day Monday through Friday to provide basic care needs. When necessary, students are given assistance in obtaining an appointment for further medical evaluation. For more information, click here or contact student health services at (859) 233-8127.
What counseling services does Transylvania University provide for students?
Full-time students may receive six free counseling sessions each academic year. Appointments can be used for academic counseling, time management skills, relationship/roommate conflict resolution, constructive communication skills, or feelings validation—depression, loneliness, homesickness. Growth Resources, a local counseling center, offers services on campus and at a Gratz Park office, which is within easy walking distance. All visits are strictly confidential.
