Transylvania junior John Kerley takes part in Discovery Channel series, “The Bone Detectives,” while studying abroad in Peru

LEXINGTON, Ky.—Tune in to the latest episode of the Discovery Channel series, “The Bone Detectives,” Saturday, February 9, at 10 a.m. and you might see John Kerley. The Transylvania junior participated in the filming of the episode titled “Celebration of Death,” while he was studying archeology in Peru last summer through Universidad Catolica de Peru. Kerley and his fellow students assisted archeologists who discovered a teenage girl buried in a strange place – just outside an empty tomb.

Over 65 percent of Transylvania students spend an academic term, year or summer studying abroad in countries around the world.
