David Choate remembered

David Choate's family and friends
An Autumn Purple Ash tree and commemorative plaque were dedicated in May in memory of mathematics professor David B. Choate, who passed away unexpectedly in the summer of 2006. Pictured are, back row, from left: mathematics professor David Shannon, who spoke at the ceremony; Choate’s wife, Amy Rutenberg ’88; President Charles L. Shearer; front row: Choate’s son Aaron; daughter, Ruth; Lesley Wiglesworth ’04; and Choate’s son David. Wiglesworth, her husband, Joshua Wiglesworth ’03, and her parents, Walter and Susan Wellington, were thanked for their support in making the tree and plaque possible.
