Silas House is the nationally bestselling author of books like Clay's Quilt (2001), A Parchment of Leaves (2003), The Coal Tattoo (2005), Eli the Good (2009), Something's Rising (2009), Same Sun Here (2012), and three widely-produced plays. The event is free and open to the public.

"How Do Jews and Christians Connect?"

Professor Susannah Heschel, the Eli Black Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College, will present the Moosnick Lecture in Judaic Studies. She is the author of "The Aryan Jesus: Christian Theologians and the Bible in Nazi Germany" and "Abraham Geiger and the Jewish Jesus." She also will speak at Ohavay Zion Synagogue at 7 p.m. the next evening.
