Program Overview

Transylvania's Business Administration program offers an ideal combination: sound professional preparation and a strong liberal arts background. The main goal of the Division of Business and Economics is to provide excellent preparation for entering the business world or a graduate program. As a business administration major, you may combine classes from a group of electives according to your interests, or focus on one or more of four specialized areas: Management; Marketing; Finance; or Hospitality Management. A minor in business administration is also offered.

You may choose to participate in an internship that will allow you to apply learned skills to real business situations. Students are placed with local businesses, government offices, or research centers. Banks, brokerage firms, health care facilities, and CPA firms are especially popular among students participating in the program.
