ACADEMICS

Religion

Religion influences the structure of societies, the formation of human values, and the shape of personal faith. The religion program explores the prominent role religion plays in contemporary society.

Religion courses help you learn to understand, analyze, and communicate complex ideas. As a religion major, you will analyze religion's role in society and evaluate the social and individual values that stem from religious belief. The program will also help you understand your religious identity in relationship to other religious traditions.

Courses cover the Hebrew and Christian Bible, the historical and theological development of the Judaeo-Christian tradition, Asian religions, gender roles in religious life, and the philosophy of religion.
