A combination of classroom, laboratory, and field experiences will give you a solid foundation in the biological sciences. Our professors are experts in genetics, physiology, microbiology, and other areas. Our laboratories and greenhouse will allow you to perform research, and field trips to Kentucky's Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Forest allow you to learn outside the classroom. You may also intern at a respected research institution. As an upper-class student, you may qualify for internships in the medical professions. As a senior, you may explore special interests through honors work or independent study.
We offer a biology major and minor.
