The mission of the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning is to create and support programs that foster literacy and learning as a lifelong process for all citizens.

The Carnegie Center is a non-profit family learning center devoted to helping all citizens improve their quality of life. An open-door policy invites people young and old to learn something new.

In 2011, Transylvania University entered into a partnership with the Carnegie Center. Both institutions share space for programs, concerts, lectures, receptions and similar events. This relationship expands service learning opportunities for Transylvania students and volunteer support for the Carnegie Center.

Located within a 4-minutes walk from Transylvania campus.
